Working with children has always been something I really enjoyed. Even as a young girl in 4-H I was always volunteering to help the younger children and was always the first girl to want to babysit.  It was something that just came natural to me, so it wasn’t hard.  It was fun! 

I have been in childcare for over 12 years and have an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and am currently working on my Bachelors Degree at Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies.  My future goal is finish my degrees and open a center so I can offer help to more families and provide children with a safe, fun place to learn. 

I so value the time that I get to spend with each child and I love to learn their personalities and temperaments.  This also teaches me learn how to teach a specific child, since we all learn differently.  Often times I learn as much from the children as they do from me.  I focus on giving them activities that are fun and interesting and can promote several different types of skills without them even knowing it. 

I opened Hugs & Kisses Daycare in April of 2006.  Over the years I have worked at many different types of daycare facilities.  During those years, I learned what I did and did not want to do when and if I was able to have my own program.
